Another great reason for visiting the UU Bar Ranch is the opportunity offered for an original, one of a kind fishing experience. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced angler, you are sure to enjoy fishing the waters at the UU Bar. We aim to offer visiting fishermen an adventure that can be both quiet and exciting with a sense of seclusion all the while catching plenty of fish. Our fishing packages vary, to provide customers with a getaway that will fit their needs. We offer two different cabin fishing packages which are available on a two day minimum basis, and a Rayado Fisherman package to reflect 1 day of fishing and one nights room and board while staying at the Rayado Lodge.
Cabin packages include use of cabins, fishing guide, transportation while on ranch, access to all ranch lakes, ponds, streams, and lagoons. Also includes access to boats, trolling motors & one round of sporting clays. Fishing license if applicable. Package prices vary based on choice of lodging, Rayado Fisherman packages include meals prepared by the wonderful Chef Ralph Knighton.

Our high alpine country holds three of our most popular lakes.
Ojo Lake and Cabin… Located in our Alpine Country this cozy modern log cabin and pristine lake sets above 9,400 feet. Fully furnished, this cabin and lake is what most folk’s dream of. This cabin is hidden in tall timber and sleeps up to 8 people. Separate shower house with hot water and toilet is a short walk out the back door. Ojo Lake has been stocked with a majority of Rainbow Trout with a few Brown Trout also.
Middle Lake… This rugged deep water lake sets between Ojo Lake and Aqua Fria Lake. Located at the top of a deep canyon, this lake is loaded with Brown, Brook, and Rainbow Trout. Nice shelter with picnic table. There are two boats with trolling motors for your use.
Aqua Fria Lake and Cabin… This is our largest High Country Lake. Spectacular views surround this lake and cabin. The lake is full of Rainbows and Brown Trout. Fish from the banks or from one of the two boats with trolling motors. This large cabin sleeps 14 and is fully furnished with beautiful and comfortable furniture. Separate shower house has two bathrooms with showers.
At lower elevations on the ranch you will find several smaller lakes, lagoons and ponds with equally impressive fishing opportunities.
Sweetwater Lake… A beautiful lake located in a deep canyon fed by a year round a stream. This is a deep lake most commonly fished for Brown Trout along with a few Rainbows. We have a nice shelter with picnic table.
Box Canyon Lake… This is a really clear water lake fed by a year round stream. This lake is full of nice sized Brown Trout and Rainbows. There is a nice shelter with picnic table.
Miami Lagoons… These lagoons set below Miami Lake, which holds the State record for Northern Pike. There are several lagoons that feed into each other and are full of large Northern Pike. We have special gear to catch these large sporting fish. This is a rare opportunity for this part of the country. There is a nice shelter with picnic table to get out of the weather or enjoy your gourmet lunch.
