The bull elk will selected by the guide based on their atypical antler development. The opportunity is high to kill a quality management bull during a three day hunt. These hunts are targeted for November and December 2012.

Wild Riv-ers On The Fly Guide School is all inclusive and designed to prepare participants for a professional career as a fly fishing guide or simply increase their knowledge and skills of the sport. During the in depth one-week course, students will learn:

• Advanced fly fishing techniques
• Professional guide ethics and conduct
• Learning how to manage client relation-ships
• Rules and safety regulations
• Licensing and permits
• Outdoor education and history
• Photography
• Knots/Lines/Leaders
• Wade guiding
• Rowing progression, boat guiding, boater safety
• CPR and First Aid (Students will receive a 2 year Red Cross certification in CPR and First Aid). Most state and federal guide permits require CPR/First Aid certification from Red Cross.

Upon completion of the school, students will have the fundamentals and skills needed to become a professional fly fishing guide. There are three sessions each running from Sunday to Saturday. Arrive noon on Sunday and depart noon on Saturday. The first runs from May 22 to May 28th, the second from August 14th to August 20th. We also offer a women’s only guide school from July 17th to July 23rd. Classes are extremely limited to ensure quality instruction and interaction with our Instructor Guides and other profes-sionals. While attending the all inclusive one week Fly Fishing Guide School you will stay at the world class Rayado Lodge featuring the cuisine of Chef Ralph. The Rayado Lodge is fully equipped with a plethora of amenities including a relaxing lodge environment, TV/DVD, pool table, meeting rooms, books, videos and complete fly tying table.
